Katherine Matthews engaged to Micah Vugrinec

Mr. and Mrs. William Archie Matthews of Autryville, N.C. are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Elizabeth Matthews, to Micah Jonas Vugrinec, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Joseph Vugrinec of Lewes.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mildred Matthews and the late Mr. Millard Matthews of Autryville, and Mrs. Jo Ann Walters and the late Mr. Harold Walters of Fayetteville, N.C.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Lillian Vugrinec and the late Mr. Joseph Vugrinec of Lewes, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Perdue of Baltimore, Md.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Midway High School and Methodist University with a degree in accounting.  She is employed by Martin’s Abattoir and Wholesale Meats, Inc as an accountant.

The groom-elect is a graduate of Cape Henlopen High School and Methodist University with a degree in business administration with a concentration in professional golf management. He is employed by Highland Country Club as an assistant golf professional.

The ceremony will take place at 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10, at Clement Baptist Church in Autryville, with Dr. James Dees Jr. officiating.
