Kathy Reinhart, Lingo realtor

Kathy Reinhart, 62, of Rehoboth Beach passed away Friday, Jan. 22, 2021, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes.  She was born Oct. 11, 1958, in Seaford, daughter of the late William and Joan Hammond.

Mrs. Reinhart graduated from Seaford High School. She built a lifelong career as a secretary at Rehoboth and Shields elementary schools, from which she retired after 30 years. After her retirement, Mrs. Reinhart worked as a realtor with Jack Lingo Realtor for the past seven years.

Mrs. Reinhart was a member of Lewes Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was a voracious reader and cherished time spent with those she held most dear, especially her grandchildren, Curtis and Riley Mae, whom she loved very much. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Reinhart was preceded in death by her brother, William Hammond Jr. She is survived by her beloved husband of six years, Edward Schaefer; her two children: Curtis Reinhart of Rehoboth Beach and Melanie Reinhart of Milton; her grandchildren: Curtis Reinhart Jr. and Riley Mae Lemaire; her brother: John Hammond of Lewes; her sisters: Nancy Trice (Ronald) of Seaford, Karen Massey (Dale) of Seaford and Lisa Reed (Jeff) of Millsboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no in-person service.
