Lakeside Pottery in Rehoboth recognized for business ethics

June 8, 2019

Lakeside Pottery Ceramic and Art Restoration Studio announced it has been selected as a recipient of the 2019 Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics.

This is the 54th year that the BBB of Delaware has honored companies for their outstanding examples of ethical business practices. Lakeside formally received its Better Business Bureau Torch Award at the ceremony held May 14 in Wilmington.

Four companies were selected for the 2019 Torch Award. The BBB Torch Award for Ethics recognizes exemplary businesses that strive to go above and beyond in their dealings with customers, employees, vendors and their community. BBB Delaware presents the Torch Award for Ethics each year to businesses that exemplify ethical behavior and display integrity in all aspects of their operations.

"We are so honored to receive this award," said Morty Bachar, partner at Lakeside Pottery Studio. "Because of the type of work we do, trust between our company and the client is essential to what we do, and we share this award with our clients in spirit. Our business ethics are a source of pride at our company, but it is humbling to be recognized publicly by the Better Business Bureau."

Lakeside Pottery Studio, a nationally recognized ceramic and sculpture restoration studio, was established in 2001 as a ceramic art and pottery teaching facility. It is now focused on ceramic and sculpture repair and restoration in addition to custom-made pottery and Kintsugi art. The studio strives for the highest quality and treats each project entrusted to it with the utmost care. Bachar said, “We are fortunate to have found a way to operate in a creative and constantly challenging environment working on unique and varying projects regularly.”
