Lauren Bohagar promoted to GM at Catch 54 in Fenwick Island

March 6, 2015

Scott Kammerer, president and CEO of SoDel Concepts, recently announced the appointment of Lauren Bohagar to general manager of Catch 54 in Fenwick Island, one of eight restaurants in the hospitality group, which also owns Plate Catering and Big Thunder Roadside Kitchen, a food truck.

“She is a great employee - a team player - and we know she cares a lot about our company,” Kammerer said.

Bohagar, who has a degree in social sciences with an emphasis on Russian history and politics, began working at the restaurant in 2012, when it reopened after a devastating fire. “I liked the restaurant’s dynamic environment,” she said. “I also liked the flexibility, which gave me time for travel.”

In that, she’s not unlike SoDel Concepts founder Matt Haley, who was well known for his adventures abroad, both for pleasure and for philanthropy. “Matt embodied everything that I wanted to do: travel, eat good food and help others,” she said.

When he passed away in August 2014, she saw longtime employees take on more responsibility. “They were not giving up,” she said, “they were stepping up. So I decided to step up, too. SoDel is a group of people with common goals and interests who genuinely care about each other.”

“She does a beautiful job representing SoDel Concepts to every customer who walks in the door at Catch 54,” Kammerer said.
