Law Office of Susan Pittard Weidman hires Jay Moffitt

The Law Office of Susan Pittard Weidman PA announced the hiring of attorney Jay N. Moffitt, who has returned to his native Sussex County to practice law. Moffitt grew up in Lewes and attended Cape Henlopen High School, graduating in 1992. He graduated cum laude from University of Delaware in 1997 with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

Moffitt attended the Duke University School of Law, where he earned his degree in 2001. He then began working for Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York, N.Y., where he focused on corporate transactional work and corporate litigation. After five years at the firm, Moffitt returned to Delaware and began working for Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP in Wilmington, where he has been a partner for the past six years, with his practice focusing on corporate and commercial litigation.

Looking to get closer to his roots, Moffitt recently moved to Rehoboth Beach with his wife Pam and his son Jacob. His practice will now concentrate on real estate, estate planning and assisting clients with forming new businesses entities. He will be practicing in the firm's Millville and Rehoboth Beach offices.
