Lawrence Andrew Sparling, drove 18-wheeler

Lawrence Andrew Sparling, 69, of Georgetown, died Wednesday, March 17, 2021, peacefully at home. Born Aug. 27, 1951, in New York, N.Y., he was the son of the late Stewart Sparling and Catherine Sparling, nee Gagel.

For the majority of his career, Lawrence (Larry) drove an 18-wheeler up and down the East Coast. He enjoyed camping and golfing, but his favorite thing to do was DIY work on his home.

In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his brothers, Stewart Sparling Jr., Robert Sparling, Raymond Sparling, Nicholas Sparling and George Sparling.

Larry is survived by his wife of 22 years, Kathleen Lee Sparling, nee Kern; his sister, Alice Buesker; his brother, Gary Sparling; his daughter, Amy Sparling; his sons, Andrew Sparling and Lawrence L. Sparling; stepdaughter, Kristen Disbennett; and 10 grandchildren.

Larry had another sibling, Conrad Sparling, whose disposition is unknown.
