League of Women Voters supports legal aid in dying bill
On behalf of the Delaware League of Women Voters, and the 75% of Delawareans who support legal aid in dying for the terminally ill, we're writing in support of House Bill 140, the Ron Silverio/Heather Block End of Life Options Law that the Legislature is considering this session.
By passing HB 140, Delaware will join the 10 states (red states and blue states, urban and rural), plus the District of Columbia, that let people in the last six months of life decide the manner of their death. HB 140 balances individual freedom and the right protections.
Please join us in letting Delawareans approach their final moments with dignity and grace. Encourage your legislators to pass HB 140, and Gov. Matt Meyer to sign it.
