I would like to thank Theresa Kaskey for her very informative letter to the editor concerning Senate Bill 55 introduced by Sen. Richardson and Rep. Hilovsky to prohibit gender transition procedures for minors in Delaware. Sen. Richardson and Rep. Hilovsky are addressing a problem that does not exist, as only 0.1% of minor children ever seek out care for gender identity. We need our representatives to address the real problems our community faces. More than 40% of Delaware’s children have Medicaid as their primary or secondary health insurance. Medicaid is under attack.
Delawareans are too smart to be distracted with smoke and mirrors. We want our representative to address the real problem and save Medicaid.
