Lewes couple celebrates 50th anniversary

Ellen and Kenny Schnabel were married in 1974.
Kenny and Ellen Schnabel of Lewes recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were joined by their daughter Ari Chiarella and her husband Brian, their son Arden, and their son David Schnabel with his wife Yael and their son Lior. The family will continue the celebration on a cruise planned for the future.
Upon retirement, Kenny and Ellen relocated to Lewes from Westhampton Beach, N.Y. Kenny owned Ken’s Vanderbilt Deli in Commack, N.Y. and Main Street Sweets/Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream in Westhampton Beach, N.Y. Ellen was an elementary school teacher for 37 years in Riverhead, N.Y.
