Lewes Gifts celebrates grand opening

Lewes Gifts recently announced its grand opening will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, April 29, in historic downtown Lewes at 118 Second St. The celebration will feature refreshments, store specials, raffle drawings and giveaways.

To celebrate the royal wedding, Lewes Gifts will offer free hand therapy treatments from Crabtree & Evelyn, the product line used by the British royal family.

Lewes Gifts offers cards, gifts and decorative accessories for the home at affordable prices with many items being made in the United States. Lewes Gifts is the perfect place to find unique and attractive gifts for Mother’s Day, birthdays, teacher and hostess gifts, and many other occasions.

Lewes Gifts features such leading brands as Mud Pie gifts, Bean Pod soy candles, Caren aloe products, Boston International paper products and Magnet Works flags. Lewes Gifts also has the largest assortment of personalized Lewes items, including clothing for men and women.

“Last year as we saw changes in Lewes; I really felt strongly that a gift shop was a necessity,” said owner Michiko Seto. “I feel it is a part of the recipe to complete a downtown shopping area and to offer the convenience of one-stop shopping in Lewes.”

Seto currently has four Blooming Boutique stores in Milford, Rehoboth Beach, Bethany Beach and Lewes which carry handbags, shoes, beads, jewelry and now U.S.A.-made cotton clothing.

The Lewes store moved in February to a much larger location at 107 Second St., opening up the old location at 118 Second St. for Lewes Gifts. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will extend the evening hours in the summer.
