Lewes man, 22, faces heroin charges
A 22-year-old Lewes man was arrested July 9 following a months-long investigation into drug sales from a residence on River Bend Road in Millsboro.
Delaware State Police spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier said about 12:20 p.m., Sussex County Drug Task Force with assistance of Sussex County Governor's Task Force stopped Carl X. Stallings while he was operating his Acura in the Long Neck area.
A search warrant was obtained for the vehicle, and inside the center console of the car police found 13 bags of heroin weighing .195 grams, labeled “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” as well as over $1,400 in suspected drug proceeds.
A search warrant was also conducted at an apartment Stalling was known to frequent and use to distribute illegal drugs, in the Long Neck Apartment complex on River Bend Road. Detectives who searched the apartment located an additional 1,214 bags of heroin weighing 18.21 grams stamped “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”
Stalling was taken to Troop 4 where he was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of a controlled substance (heroin), and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution. Cash bond was set at $51,000.
