Lewes resident featured in Times Square Jumbotron video

Gabby Parillon’s image selected for Down Syndrome Awareness Month campaign
September 28, 2022

Gabby Parillon of Lewes appeared in the bright lights of Broadway Sept. 17, as part of the annual National Down Syndrome Society Times Square video presentation.

The one-hour video of roughly 500 photographs includes children, teens and adults with Down syndrome from all 50 states. The collective images promote the value, acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome in a visible way.

Gabby is pictured wearing her homecoming dress from last year. Her photograph was selected from more than 2,400 entries in the NDSS worldwide call for photos.

The Times Square video presentation preceded the New York City Buddy Walk in Central Park.

Gabby’s mom Beth Parillon shares resources in her podcast, Gettin' Down with Down Syndrome. To learn more, go to downwith321.com/podcast.

The Boardwalk Buddy Walk in Rehoboth Beach will begin at 9 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand.

Registration is free at boardwalkbuddywalk.com.
