A Lincoln man faces attempted murder and other charges after police say he shot his wife, 43, and stepson, 20.

Police responded at 6:48 a.m., Sept. 8, to a home in the 23000 block of Deep Creek Drive in Lincoln for a report of a shooting. Police found the woman and 20-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. Lifesaving measures were performed until emergency responders arrived, police said. The woman was taken to an area trauma hospital where she is in critical condition, police said. The 20-year-old was taken to an area hospital and admitted with nonlife-threatening injuries.

Police said Nicholas Mosley, 52, shot his wife after arguing with her, and then shot his stepson before driving away. Three more family members were at the home during the shooting, police said, but they were physically unharmed.

Shortly after the shooting, police said, Mosley turned himself in at Troop 7. Police said Mosley is a convicted felon prohibited from possessing a firearm. He was charged with first-degree attempted murder, felony first-degree assault, aggravated menacing, three counts possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by one previously convicted of a violent felony, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Mosely was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $1,101,000 cash bond.
