Linda Marie Ercolino, had heart of gold

May 9, 2023

Linda Marie Ercolino, 62, of Millsboro, passed away Monday, April 24, 2023, at her home. She was born Feb. 1, 1961, in Islip, N.Y., daughter of the late Arthur and Dolores Ercolino.

Linda graduated from West Babylon Senior High School Class of 1979 and went on to work in New York for many years before moving to Maryland and eventually Delaware, where she managed and operated a family business.

Linda was an amazing person who would truly do anything to make others happy. That included her cooking! Linda loved to cook for people; she felt that was a way to make them happy, and she was right. Linda loved her New York Giants, her precious dog Bella, listening to music, the beach, and most of all, her family. Linda constantly doted on her niece Andrea and grandchildren, always expressing her love for them, giving each their own nickname, and showing how much joy they brought her. She took pride in being from a strong Italian family and that her roots were in New York. Linda would give anyone the shirt off her back, a helping hand whenever needed, and above all, she would do anything to bring joy to others. Linda could talk about anything with anyone, make anyone smile, and she loved unconditionally. She was small but mighty, a firecracker at times, and full of personality. Linda will be remembered for her hilarious stories, her heart of gold, and her love for those she cared about.

Linda is survived by her brothers, Vincent and Arthur Ercolino; her sister-in-law, Deanna Ercolino; her niece, Andrea Ercolino; her aunts, Karen DeLucia and Rosemary Boglino; as well as her extended family, Lynn Stricker; daughters, Nicole and Shannon; grandchildren, Braeden, Ellyana, Madilyn and Waylon; and the love of her life, her dog, Bella.

Linda will be interred at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, N.Y., with her mother and father. The service will be scheduled for summer 2023, with the date to be determined.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 13, at Maugansville Bible Brethren Church, 17904 Binkley Ave., Maugansville, Md.

A second Celebration of Life will be organized by Linda's aunt, Karen DeLucia, and scheduled for late June in Millsboro. For anyone interested in attending, indicate so on Linda’s Tribute Wall at parsellfuneralhomes.com, and sign her virtual guestbook.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, stjude.org; or The Humane Society of the United States, humanesociety.org/how-you-can-help
