Local tour company has been Eating Rehoboth for 10 years

Summer dates open for ticket sales
April 14, 2022

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the EatingRehoboth.com restaurant tour company.

The popular walking tours give guests a 2.5-hour sneak peek at what they can expect when dining in downtown Rehoboth Beach.

Participating restaurants provide tapas-sized bites of their best cuisine and a signature cocktail or soft drink, often created specifically for tour guests.

Eating Rehoboth tour-goers stroll through town at a leisurely pace as guides fill them in on Rehoboth Beach history. One of the most popular moments is when tour guests stop on the Boardwalk to learn about the history of the Rehoboth Avenue train tracks and the devastation caused by the 1962 Ash Wednesday storm. EatingRehoboth.com is owned and operated by Bob Yesbek, Paul Cullen and Deb Griffin.

Personal chef and entertainer Paul Cullen is also enjoying success at Paul’s Kitchen on Cedar Grove Road near Lewes. His weekend Italian market has quickly gained a loyal following for house-made brunches and live entertainment spotlighting local musicians. Cullen is in his seventh year bringing his four-course Italian food and wine experience – and his music – into people’s homes for a personalized dining adventure. His professionally executed events have been savored not only in the Mid-Atlantic region, but also in Costa Rica, Italy, Florida, Texas, Chicago, Nashville, California and Asheville, N.C. Details can be found at PaulCullen.rocks.

Bob Yesbek is in his 16th year curating the restaurant news and reviews website RehobothFoodie.com, and his Business of Eating column has been published weekly in the Cape Gazette for more than 12 years. His Steppin’ Up to the Plate columns in the Beach Paper run weekly during the season. He’s in his eighth year supporting the local food industry with his award-winning Beach Eats radio show that airs weekly on two radio stations. He can not only be found in Delmarva restaurants writing about and photographing his dinners, but also occasionally providing live music with his bands 2nd Time Around and Hammond Hot Trio. His Rehoboth in my Pocket smartphone travel app boasts over 40,000 subscribers.

Deb Griffin’s Local Buzz newsletter has been keeping her subscribers on the leading edge of local business happenings for over 15 years. A renaissance woman in her own right, Griffin has enjoyed careers in nursing and office management, finally landing at the beach in 2006, where she discovered real estate. She describes her interaction with buyers and sellers as “an adventure on every level.” She is an active member of the Rehoboth Beach Writers’ Guild and generously donates a portion of her commissions to Best Friends Animal Society. Her main function at EatingRehoboth.com is to keep Cullen and Yesbek focused. Check out her website at BuzzTheBeach.com.

EatingRehoboth.com tours generally operate three times a week in season, however, the shortage of help has made it a challenge for some restaurants to participate. In spite of that, the 2022 tours will begin Sunday, May 15, and are already sold out into June! Tickets are $59 each and may be purchased online at EatingRehoboth.com. Guests must be at least 21 years old. Special charter tours for groups are available on request.
