Long & Foster agents volunteer at Delaware Veterans Home
Thousands of real estate agents and employees with Long & Foster Real Estate, including those at the Lewes and Rehoboth Beach offices in Delaware, rolled up their sleeves and took part in the company’s 22nd annual community service day June 19.
With more than 220 Long & Foster locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, the annual event provides an opportunity for agents and staff to give back to their communities through a variety of service projects, including food drives, park cleanups and more.
The Lewes and Rehoboth office team members volunteered at the Delaware Veterans Home. As part of their duties, agents cleaned and stained benches and chairs for use in one of the many beautiful sitting areas for veterans home residents. Agents also weeded and spread mulch over the parking lot islands with the help of Jeff Wootten, DVH maintenance worker. The agents enjoyed their time volunteering, and they also presented a donation to the home.
“We were most happy to support the Delaware Veterans Home in Sussex County,” said Carol Materniak, branch manager for the Lewes and Rehoboth Beach offices. “The agents are always so very generous with their time, talents and resources.”
