Long Neck United Methodist Church had its annual walkthrough Story of Christmas on church grounds Dec. 15-16. Visitors were escorted to stations manned by church members who told the story of Jesus’ birth.
An angel, portrayed by Geno Poppitt, gives Mary, portrayed by Hope Muzzi, the news that she has been chosen to be the mother of the Son of God.
Baby Jesus has been born in a manger to Joseph, portrayed by Chad Fitzkee, and Mary, portrayed by Rachael Grahovac, as the three wise men (l-r) Glen Hall, Terry Sibley and (kneeling) Craig Cannon bring gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.
King Herod, portrayed by William Davenport, tells the three wise men (l-r) Terry Sibley, Craig Cannon and Glen Hall to travel to Bethlehem and report back to him on the birth of Jesus. In a dream, they are told he wants to kill the baby, so they don’t return to the king.
A angel appeared to the shepherds telling them of the birth of Jesus, and they would find the baby wrapped in cloth lying in a manger.
