Louise Houts Buck, Christian role model
Louise Houts Buck, 91, of Millville passed away in the care of her family Monday, May 30, 2016.
She was born March 29, 1925, in Chattanooga, Tenn., to the late George W. and Lydia Felker Houts. She had lived in Florida and also Georgetown. She loved sewing and painting, and was a very compassionate person.
She was a member of the Dagsboro Gospel Fellowship. She always tried to be nice to all people, and was a good Christian role model who practiced what she preached. She was a great prayer warrior.
She was married to Haywood Buck Jr., who preceded her in 2008. She also was preceded by two sons: Bruce Haywood Buck and Keith George Buck; and by eight siblings.
Louise is survived by two daughters: Carol Jean Conn and her husband Hayes of Millville, and Kathy Louise Skumautz and husband Vern of Columbus, Ga. She has four grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.
A funeral service is planned for 11 a.m., Friday, June 3, at Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro, where friends may call one hour prior to the service for a viewing and visitation. Interment will be private in Union Cemetery, Georgetown.
