The Mariner Middle School football squad opened its 2018 campaign with a 30-0 away loss to Millsboro Middle School Sept. 20.
The Knights took control in the first quarter by scoring two touchdowns, followed by another in the second. After the 24-point first half, Millsboro added six in the third quarter. The Vikings defense toughened for a scoreless fourth.
The Vikings will host Georgetown Middle School Thursday, Sept. 29.
