Mark Allen Roach, always had a smile
Mark Allen Roach, 79, of Milton, went home to be with the Lord Monday, Jan. 16, 2023, surrounded by his loving wife, son and one of his grandsons. He was born Aug. 26, 1943.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Carol Bradley; nephew, Wayne Bradley; sons, Mike Chester and Rob Chester; and nephew, Kevin Chester.
Allen served in the U.S. Army and was on a tank crew stationed in Germany. He went on to work at DuPont in Seaford for many years. After DuPont, he worked at Beebe Hospital in Lewes and before he passed away, he worked for Lighthouse Cove at Del Tech in Georgetown.
He was affectionately known as Pop Pop Allen by many and Mark by his co-workers. No matter what name you knew him by, he always had a smile on his face, a story to tell, and a kind word to speak. He was a hard worker, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 39 years, Harriet Roach; his sons, Phillip (Christina) and Christopher (Nadia) Chester; his brother Larry (Kim); and his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life gathering hosted by his wife and family will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11, at his home, 28359 Martins Farm Road, Milton. Join us to share a story and a smile in his honor.
