Mark Schaeffer is only wise choice for 3rd District

October 30, 2020

I am proud to evince my support for Mark Schaeffer for the 3rd District of Sussex County Council.  Mark is the only candidate who will continue Sussex County’s legacy of small, fiscally responsible government.

Sussex County is a growth story because it has coastal living, natural beauty, and a friendly, accepting culture.  Surrounding states like Maryland and New Jersey have similar coastlines but vastly different stories (as it relates to growth).  The difference is small, fiscally responsible government.  A vote for Mark Schaeffer is a vote to ensure the Sussex County remains the outstanding place to live that attracts so many people to this area. It is important that Sussex County does not begin to emulate its high-tax, high-regulation, expensive, fiscally irresponsible coastal neighbors.  That is why voting for Mark Schaeffer is critical for our way of life. Local elections matter.   Like so many of my neighbors, I moved to Sussex County 21 years ago.  I think it is important to remember what made us decide to leave somewhere when we came here.  Let us not re-create that which we sought to escape.  Mark Schaeffer is the only wise choice for the 3rd District.
