Marsha Dionne Guerin, real estate agent

Marsha Dionne Guerin, also affectionately known as Mama G, 62, of Lewes, passed away and returned to her daughter's embrace Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at her home in Lewes. She was born Saturday, Dec. 18, 1954, in Huntington, N.Y., daughter of Joseph L. Dionne and Joan F. (Durand) Dionne.

Marsha spent a lifelong career as a real estate agent working for various agencies including: Long & Foster under Ethel Lewis, and The Shore Group at Joe Maggio Realty with Joe Kirk. She was the founder of The Compassionate Friends Lighthouse Chapter in Rehoboth Beach and the current membership director of Women's Council of Realtors of Sussex County.

In her free time, Marsha enjoyed hosting countless murder mystery parties, reading, computer games and volunteering for various events. She loved the time spent with her family and friends but, most of all, she cherished being with her grandson, Kyle.

Marsha was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Danielle in 1998. She is survived by her wonderful son, Kristopher Guerin and his wife Jennifer of Lewes; her beautiful grandson whom she adored, Kyle; her best friend and partner in crime, Joe Kirk of Rehoboth Beach; her parents whom she loved, of Wilton, Conn., and New Canaan, Conn., respectively; her two handsome brothers: Gary Dionne and Darren Dionne, both of New Canaan; and numerous cousins and dear friends.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 1, at 11 a.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow services at All Saints’ Cemetery, Harbeson.

Friends may also call at the funeral home Monday, July 31, from 6 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marsha's name may be made to Children's Beach House, 1800 Bay Ave., Lewes, DE 19958.
