Mary H. Farber, loving sister, mother

Mary H. Farber passed away Friday, July 22, 2022, at home in Georgetown after a lengthy illness.
 
She was born in Washington D.C., Dec. 6, 1939. Mary was a loving sister and mother, and she loved gardening and going to thrift stores.
 
She is predeceased by her husband of 22 years Melvin; a son, Melvin Eric; and a brother, Paul; as well as her companion, George Howard of Rehoboth.  She is survived by two sons, Carlton E. Farber at home, and Brian E. Farber and his wife Amy of Delmar; four grandchildren, Kara Hawkins and her husband Trevor of Frankford, Katie Farber also of Frankford, Megan Farber of Salisbury, Md., and her significant other Alec, and Carlton Farber Jr. (CJ) of Denver Colo.; brother, Sam Harrell and his wife Debby of Lake Wales, Fla.; two sisters, Joye Sammons of Danville Va., and Peggy West and her husband Eugene of Georgetown; and two nieces, Heather Showalter and her husband Nelson of Danville, Va., and Dana West of Georgetown.
 
Services are private
