Mary H. Lankford, retired manager

Mary H. Lankford, 94, of Seaford passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Methodist Manor House in Seaford. She was born in Delmar, Md., Feb. 3, 1924, daughter of the late Lafayette Franklin and Mary (Riggin)Hastings.

Mrs. Lankford worked as a regional office manager for PurOil for 30 dedicated years. She also was an accounts payable clerk for Penco for 20 years. Mrs. Lankford was a devoted member of Union United Methodist Church. She was a former member of Cannon United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed playing the piano, and until her passing was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Bridgeville Fire Department, and the Bridgeville Lioness Club. She was a loving and caring aunt and friend, and she will be genuinely missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lankford was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Floyd Lankford, in 1990. She is survived by seven nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 9, at 2 p.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws St., Bridgeville, where friends may call beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will take place at Bridgeville Cemetery, Market and Laws streets, following the services.
