Mary M. Hart, Republican activist
Mary M. Hart, 86, of Lewes, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at her residence. She was born Friday, Sept. 14, 1928, in Pittsburgh, Pa., daughter of the late Joseph Reed and Helen (DeArment) Miller.
Mrs. Hart was a loving homemaker, devoted wife and mother of three children. She was a Republican activist, volunteering many hours to the party. Mrs. Hart was an avid Bridge player, and enjoyed time spent on the beach. She was a graduate of the Abbott Academy in Andover, Mass., and served as the class information portal for her class since 1977.
Mrs. Hart was preceded in death by her loving husband, Reeves Welch Hart Jr. in 1999; and her son, Robert Reeves Hart. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Hart Moore and her husband Brent of Lewes; and a son, David Welch Hart and his wife MaryRose of Owings, Md.; and two grandsons, Jordan Moore of Milton and Jesse Moore of Fort Eustis, Va.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 28,, at 1 p.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 1, at the Milton Cemetery in Litchfield, Conn.
