Maull-Robinson Day set Aug. 27 at St. George AME
Maull-Robinson Family & Friends Day will be held Sunday, Aug. 27, at St. George African Methodist Episcopal Church, 317 Park Ave., Lewes. All are welcome. Dinner will be held from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the church.
The Rev. Dr. Deborah McCaffity, pastor, will welcome guest preacher Bishop Reginald T. Jackson, presiding prelate of the Sixth Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, which encompasses over 500 churches in the state of Georgia.
Jackson, a native of Dover, earned a bachelor’s degree in history at Delaware State University in 1976. He was elected and consecrated the 132nd bishop of the AME Church in 2012. He has served as chairman of the Social Action Commission of the AME Church and is the current chairman of the Commission on Colleges, Universities and Seminaries.
