Milford Ladybug Music Festival to return Sept. 30
The fourth annual Milford Ladybug Music Festival will be held from 4 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 30, with the main stage on Walnut Street at Park Avenue in downtown Milford. More than 35 live music performances will take place at seven indoor and outdoor venues. The rain date is Sunday, Oct. 1.
Walnut Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from SE to NE Front Street, along with a large portion of Park Avenue. Plenty of food trucks, and adult libations and craft vendors will be on hand.
Organized by Downtown Milford Inc. and Wilmington-based Gable Music Ventures, the Ladybug Music Festival is the largest free celebration of women in music in the country, boasting a 100% female-led lineup, creating opportunities for women in both live music engineering and event production.
Nitro Nitra, a Delaware-based rock band featured on NBC’s “American Song Contest,” will be the headliner at 8 p.m. on the main stage at the intersection of Walnut Street and Park Avenue.
“We are excited to continue to be given the opportunity to bring this event to Milford. This city continues to engage with many creative events, becoming an example for other communities in how to harness the power of music in drawing tourism and reinvigorating the local economy,” said Gayle Dillman, Ladybug Music Festival founder and Gable Music Ventures CEO.
