Milford resident honored as Judicial Branch Employee of the Year

The Delaware Judiciary recently announced Sharay Knight of Milford has been named Delaware Judicial Branch Employee of the Year for 2024.

A judicial case manager in the Court of Chancery, Knight has been an employee of the branch since 2022.

Known for exceptional service, Knight has received numerous thanks and compliments from litigants who have worked with her, praising her dedication and the assistance that sometimes extends beyond regular court hours. Knight’s nominator said her industrious work ethic has been particularly helpful at a time of high caseloads and staffing shortages downstate. Knight exhibits patience and kindness to  even the most challenging self-represented litigants, providing the necessary forms, rules and information for them to successfully litigate in the Court of Chancery. When filings cannot be accepted, she provides thoughtful explanations to help the individual understand how to avoid the same errors in the future.
