Millsboro has a new town manager
At its Aug. 1 meeting, the Millsboro Mayor and Council voted unanimously to have Sheldon P. Hudson, the now-former assistant town manager, replace the long-serving and recently-retired Faye L. Lingo as the municipality’s chief administrative officer. A Sussex County native, Hudson’s other previous experience includes serving as the director of risk management and human resources generalist for Trinity Logistics of Seaford, as a senior fiscal and policy analyst in the State of Delaware Office of Management and Budget, as an adjunct economics instructor at Delaware Tech in Georgetown, and as a fiscal analyst in the Queen Anne’s County Office of Budget, Finance, and Information Technology.
After attending Indian River School District schools, Hudson earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Indiana Wesleyan University and a master’s in government from Regent University. In addition, he has 30 undergraduate credits in business administration from IWU and 12 doctoral credits in organizational leadership from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore—where Hudson was a member of the institution’s chapter of the Golden Key International Honour Society.
Hudson’s family owns and operates a 55-year-old small business located in Ocean View. He and his wife, Kristan, and children, Zachary (Snell) and Eliana, reside within the Town of Millsboro.
