Milton student art exhibition to open April 10

The Milton Arts Guild gallery will present artwork by area students for an upcoming exhibition. As many as 60 pieces of student-created art will be displayed Thursday, April 10, through Tuesday, April 22, in the MAG gallery at 107 Federal St., Milton.

This is the second year the Milton Arts Guild has partnered with Cape district art teachers from Milton Elementary, H.O. Brittingham Elementary and Mariner Middle schools to encourage their students to participate in this public display of work by talented youngsters.

“The student show reception is a remarkable event,” said Sue Dutton, Milton Arts Guild board of directors president.  “The students – as young as 6 or 7 years old – bring their families to admire their artwork on the walls. Their pride and sense of accomplishment is heartwarming, and with hope, inspires these young people to continue to express their creativity.”

The student show reception will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, April 13, and is open for the public to applaud young local artists.
