The Delaware Veterinarian Medical Association, at its annual meeting held Nov. 20 at Dover Downs, selected Milton resident Jim Foor, DVM, as the Veterinarian of the Year.
Foor has an extensive background in community service with the Shriners, public service in Queen Anne’s County, Maryland, and is a member and a volunteer veterinarian for shows and matches for the Mispillion Kennel Club. Foor is the founder and a co-owner of the Queenstown Animal Hospital and the co-owner of Governors Avenue Animal Hospital in Dover. He is also the founder and former owner of Chesapeake Veterinary Hospital.
Foor is a 1973 magna cum laude graduate of University of Georgia School of Veterinary Medicine and the past president of the Delaware Veterinary Medical Association.
