The Miss Delaware Scholarship Organization selected Miss Delaware on Saturday, June 16 at Dover Downs. A field of 18 contestants from throughout the state competed for the title over three days. On Saturday night, the contestants were pared down to 11 and, after the talent, swimsuit and evening gown portions of the program, five contestants were selected to answer questions for the crown. Shown leading all 18 contestants in a dance number is Miss Delaware 2011 Maria Cahill.
