Model railroading club seeks space

March 4, 2025

Thirteen of us met at the Milton library Feb. 21, to discuss forming a model railroading club in the Lewes/Milton area. Clearly there is an interest.

We’re now seeking a location for the club. We’re hoping an individual, organization or municipality will offer us space or contribute in some other fashion to this endeavor. We could use help/sponsorship.

A model railroading club with a place for a permanent public display would be an asset to any community or organization in terms of attracting people to that community or organization.

Much of our economy in the beach area benefits from tourism and public events. Model railroading is a wholesome, educational, historical and personally rewarding pursuit. A local area club would be a positive attraction for individuals, families and groups.

Our club would be open to all. It would be organized as a nonprofit.
