Dover Motor Speedway’s 46-foot-tall Monster monument’s nighttime colors during March are blue and yellow to stand with the people of Ukraine in the country’s resistance to the recent Russian invasion.
During April, the Monster monument will be lit up blue in support of National Autism Awareness Month. Dover Motor Speedway is a longtime partner of autism-related benefits and causes.
For the American Lung Association’s Turquoise Takeover Week Sunday, May 8, to Saturday, May 14, the Monster monument will be lit in turquoise.
Dedicated in 2008, the Monster Monument at Victory Plaza, presented by Ally, pays tribute to race winners at Dover Motor Speedway and features dedications to legendary drivers for their special accomplishments earned on the world’s fastest one-mile oval. The Monster Monument at Victory Plaza has frequently been lit in special colors to honor and support various causes, including teal for the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation, purple for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, pink for breast cancer awareness and blue for frontline healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
