New Life Thrift Shop adds early hours Thursday and Saturday
To accommodate early morning shoppers on its busiest days, New Life Thrift Shop is implementing 9 a.m. opening times Thursdays and Saturdays, at 34686 Jiffy Way, Lewes, behind Jiffy Lube and Bethany Blues restaurant on the northbound side of Route 1.
Regular hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Wednesday, and Friday. The shop is closed Sundays.
Thursdays are senior days, when customers 55 years and older receive a 10% discount on regularly priced items. Its wide selection of quality donated goods includes housewares, home decor, clothing, furniture and books.
Lewes Rehoboth Association of Congregations operates New Life Thrift Shop and distributes all profits to local nonprofit agencies that address human services needs such as hunger, homelessness, youth development and domestic violence, as well as fire departments, among others. LRAC distributed $508,000 to 13 nonprofits in the first six months of 2023.
Donations are greatly appreciated and can be dropped off from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday to Friday, and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday.
