New Life Thrift Shop will host its latest BOO-tiful Halloween Extravaganza starting at the bewitching hour of 9 a.m., Monday, Oct. 2. Many of the volunteers will be dressed in their best seasonal costumes, and there will be a display of bride witches!
Once again, the volunteer goblins at New Life Thrift Shop have unearthed a bounty of autumnal and Halloween items for a shopping extravaganza where customers can find their dreamy (or nightmarish) supplies for the perfect fall event. Whether they prefer the Stephen King vibe or a Martha Stewart moment, anyone can find whatever they need at New Life Thrift Shop.
There are perfect ready-to-wear costumes for children, adults and even pets, or creative types can find supplies to make their own from a large selection of clothing, props and wigs. Merchandise includes pumpkins galore, dishes, vases, wreaths, floral sprays, signs, lawn decorations, lights, stuffed animals and creatures of all kinds, party favors, treat bags and more.
New Life Thrift Shop is operated by the Lewes Rehoboth Association of Congregations and distributes all profits to local nonprofit agencies that address human service needs such as hunger, homelessness, youth development, domestic violence and fire departments, among others. LRAC distributed $508,000 to 13 nonprofits in the first six months of 2023.
The New Life Thrift Shop is located at 34686 Jiffy Way, Lewes, behind Jiffy Lube and Bethany Blues Restaurant on the northbound side of Route 1. Regular hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday. For more information, go to newlifeofdelaware.org.
