Milton planners to meet Feb. 16

Milton Planning and Zoning Commission will meet at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 16, at Grace Church, to discuss and possibly vote on a special permitted use for a cellphone tower at the town’s public works lot on Front Street. Applicant Cellco Partnership is requesting the special use to put up a 140-foot tower at 210 Front St. The special permitted use is required because the tower would be located in an R-1 residential zoning district.  The committee will also discuss and review a possible advisory report on a proposed amendment to the zoning code on the discontinuance of a nonconforming use.

Lewes budget meetings continue Feb. 12

Lewes Mayor and City Council will meet virtually at 1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 12, to continue discussion of the 2021-22 budget. Officials are expected to discuss budgets for individual departments at the meeting, including maintenance, parks and marina, building, planning, city manager’s office and finance. Meetings will continue every Friday through March 12. A link to the meeting can be found on the agenda at lewes.civicweb.net. 

Acres Town Hall closed Presidents’ Day

Rehoboth city hall closed Presidents’ Day

In observance of Presidents’ Day, Rehoboth Beach City Hall, 229 Rehoboth Ave., will be closed Monday, Feb. 15. There will be no residential trash pickup that day. City-wide trash pickup will be Tuesday, Feb 16. Visit cityofrehoboth.com for a trash collection calendar. Rehoboth Boardwalk committee to meet

The Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk and Beach Committee has scheduled an online meeting for 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 16. The agenda calls for discussions on a temporary family restroom facility at the Delaware Avenue comfort station, dog-waste bag dispensers on the Boardwalk, and capital improvements related to the beach and Boardwalk. The Rehoboth Beach Trees and Green Infrastructure Committee has scheduled an online meeting for 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 17. The agenda calls for discussions on Arbor Day 2021 and the impact on trees in relation to possible Lake Gerar Tot Lot upgrades. RD20 Democratic Committee to meet 

The Delaware 20th Representative District’s Democratic Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 18,  via Zoom. Delaware State Auditor Kathy McGuiness will update attendees on the latest developments in her office.
