Bayhealth to showcase nursing excellence in patient care
Bayhealth has announced its written Magnet documentation has been accepted by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, marking a significant step toward achieving its third Magnet designation for nursing excellence.
To validate, verify and amplify the system’s commitment to exceptional nursing practice, a team of three Magnet program office appraisers will visit patient care areas across Bayhealth at the end of April.
Having first earned Magnet status in 2015, and been redesignated in 2020, Bayhealth joins an elite group, approximately 9% of U.S. hospitals, recognized by the ANCC for excellence in nursing. As demonstrated by Magnet research, the honor reflects better patient outcomes, higher patient satisfaction, a positive practice environment and lower nurse turnover.
“Our team’s dedication to our patients, community and profession shines through in this milestone,” said Rosi Wurster, senior vice president and chief nursing executive. “The site visit is our chance to showcase the outstanding care and commitment that define Bayhealth nursing.”
The public is invited to learn more and share feedback at bayhealth.org.
