Nonprofit entries due Nov. 21 for Lefty’s Giving Tuesday event

Lefty’s Alley & Eats will host 10 local nonprofit organizations for a day of food, fun and the gift of a $500 donation on Giving Tuesday, Dec. 3.

Nonprofits based within a 30-mile radius of Lefty’s are encouraged to apply at iloveleftys.com/giving-Tuesday. Each organization will be invited to bring 10 members of their staff, volunteers or beneficiaries.

“We started this event in 2021 when nonprofits were really struggling post-pandemic. We had such a great experience that we decided to make it an annual event,” said Gary Foley, Lefty’s general manager. “We’re so fortunate to live in a community with active nonprofits, and oftentimes their volunteers and staff have little funds for group outings. We just want them to have a great time.”

Giving Tuesday is a day to inspire generosity among billions of people around the world to support the causes they believe in and the communities they care about. Every year since 2012, Giving Tuesday has raised millions of dollars for charitable causes.

Ten organizations will be selected Thursday, Nov. 21, and announced on Lefty’s social media platforms.
