Ocean City Charter Fishing fleet in the mid-1900s
August 15, 2018
Many eyes were on the Ocean City, Md. annual white marlin fishing tournament last week - a cash-rich competition that has become a highlight of the Maryland resort's summer season. The tournament brings out an impressive fleet of offshore fishing vessels and crowds that gather at the docks to see what the vessels flying flags have brought in to the weigh station. This postcard from the mid-1900s shows what the Ocean City charter fishing fleet docked in the northern end of Sinepuxent Bay - near Ocean City Inlet - looked like at the time.
