Optimist Club of Sussex County recognizes school officer

The Optimist Club of Sussex County recognized Millsboro Middle school resource officer Cpl. Jonathan Zubrowski at its Respect for Law awards dinner May 15.

“We believe it is important for children to grow up with a strong belief in abiding by the law, respecting law enforcement and doing what they can to maintain peace,” said club President Shelley McBride, who is also a Millsboro Middle teacher. “We hope that our project with the local students will help in this effort.”
