Pamela Kelly, always wore a smile
Pamela Kelly was born Dec. 20, 1980, in Vineland, N.J., to Michael J. Kelly and Denise M. McFadden. Born with spina bifida, when she got her first wheelchair around 3 years old, there was no stopping her. She enjoyed wheelchair racing and sports with the Bennett Institute of Baltimore. In 1992, she competed in the Junior National Wheelchair Association Olympics, winning several medals. She graduated from Sussex Technical High School in 2001. Thank you for teaching us to make lemonade when life gives you lemons.
When we think about Pam’s Legacy, we think about spreading joy and love wherever we go. Pamela Kelly was the happiest and most loving woman we’ve ever known. Despite many health challenges she faced, she always wore a smile, and never missed an opportunity to tell us she loved us. Throughout it all, and sometimes with a little attitude, she kept going, kept fighting. Thank you for teaching us never to give up.
Family was the most important aspect of Pam’s life. One of the last things she said to us is, “I would do anything for my family”; a statement backed by an “I love you so very much.” Pam was a wonderful daughter, a loyal sister, an awesome aunt, a dedicated niece, and a best friend to everyone she came into contact with.
She loved drinking Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, watching her favorite soap operas with her Jazzy, dressing up in her favorite dresses. She loved animals, caring for all our fur babies, being with her family and friends, and having fabulous nails! Pam resided in Georgetown with her mom, sisters, six dogs and three cats. She passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022.
Pamela Kelly is survived by her mother, Denise Klein; father, Michael Kelly, his wife, Tammy Kelly; her sisters, Amanda and Alysha Kelly-Conroy; her aunts and uncles, Mary Weaver, Joseph and Lois Kelly, Anthony Kelly, Augustine (Gus) Kelly, Anne and Frank Capoferri, Brendan and Daisy Kelly, Dolores (Dolly) and Lance Hastings, Neva Smith, Robert McFadden, William and Stephanie McFadden; several cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends so close they’re practically family. She was loved by so many, a real-life Angel on Earth, and she is missed already. Thank you for teaching us never to let the opportunity to say “I love you” pass you by. We love you so much.
We, the family, would like to thank God and the numerous doctors, nurses, aides, teachers, and friends who helped Pammi throughout the years of doctor visits, operations, procedures, and daily struggles. We thank you all.
