Paul Kares to present holiday events at The Room at Cedar Grove

December 14, 2023

It’s beginning to sound – and taste – a lot like Christmas at The Room at Cedar Grove, a supper club/entertainment venue at 32882 Cedar Grove Road, Lewes.

Activities in The Room benefit Paul Kares, a Lewes-based nonprofit that supports young performers and culinary artists.

To start, Billboard-ranked Marcus Johnson will perform a jazz holiday concert at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 15. The $80 ticket includes the concert, dinner and Johnson’s FLO Wine.

The Cape Henlopen High School Jazz Band will entertain brunch guests at 11 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 17. For $35, guests will enjoy brunch and entertainment. Cocktails, including Bloody Marys and other beverages, will be available for purchase.

Chef and musician Paul Cullen, founder of Paul Kares, and Chef Brian Gassert will prepare the traditional Feast of the Seven Fishes, an Italian-American special-occasion meal, for seatings at 6:30 p.m., Thursday and Friday, Dec. 21 and 22. Each course will feature a wine pairing. After the meal, Cullen will give a private concert. Tickets are $125 each.

Bad River will perform for New Year’s Eve at 7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 31, at The Room. The band includes Cullen, who played with Bad Company, and Tony Sciutto, formerly of Little River Band. The band also includes international recording artist Robbie LaBlanc and percussionist Alex Fitzkee of the Fitzkee Brothers.

The festive celebration includes a land-and-sea four-course wine dinner. Tickets are $175 per person.
