The Rehoboth Art League’s 40th Annual Holiday Fair Fine Craft Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 2 and 3, at 12 Dodds Lane, Henlopen Acres.
As always, this show will feature a variety of artisans exhibiting and selling their jewelry, glasswork, ceramics, mixed media, and decorative and wearable fiber creations. Patrons can stroll the campus and visit artists throughout the historic Homestead, Chambers Studio, and the Corkran and Tubbs galleries in order to select perfect gifts for family, friends and themselves.
A special ticketed preview night is set for 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 1.
As a fundraiser for the art league, this opportunity will give ticket holders early access to the artists’ booths for shopping, as well as complimentary refreshments and drinks in each campus building. Preview tickets are $50 and permit return entry during the entire weekend of the holiday fair.
Along with exhibiting artisans, RAL will host an art auction and raffle. This year’s raffle piece, valued at $600, is an original ceramic artwork generously donated by local potter John Cooley. The wall-hanging jungle scene features hungry giraffes, dancing elephants, prowling lions and more. Raffle tickets are $5 each or five for $20 and may be purchased at the front desk of the Corkran Gallery.
Auction items have been generously donated by participating event artists. Works can be viewed in the DeWitt Gallery during the holiday fair or on the art league’s website anytime. Bids may be placed online, with the auction closing at 4 p.m., Nov. 3.
Food and drink will also be sold on campus, courtesy of The Point Coffee House and Bake Shoppe, offering breakfast and lunch options that can be enjoyed in the art league’s outdoor seating areas. Dogfish Head will offer a selection of craft beer, and purchases support the league’s year-round exhibition and education programs.
Saturday and Sunday entry is $5 per person, and children under 12 are admitted free. For more information, go to rehobothartleague.org or call 302-227-8408.
