Reasonableness prevails in Rehoboth Beach

March 21, 2025

Thankfully, some adults have provided reasonableness in dropping the city’s appeal of minor issues regarding the development of the new Belhaven. There is no such thing as the perfect development, and all changes of this nature require compromise and finesse from all parties.

It should not take years of jumping through seemingly arbitrary hoops to redevelop such an important part of Rehoboth. Much of the downtown needs upgrading, and the Papajohn family should be commended for their persistence and vision in pursuing this much-needed upgrade to Rehoboth.

We need more property owners to take a lesson from this ordeal and understand that we must take a more in-depth view of the people we elect to lead our city.
