Reese Braxton Harmon Jr., jack of all trades

December 8, 2021

Reese Braxton Harmon Jr., 68, of Millsboro passed away peacefully Nov. 23, 2021, at PAM Rehabilitation Center in Dover.

Reese was born June 3, 1953, to the late Reese “Braxton” Harmon Sr. and Margaret Louise Wright.

Reese worked various jobs for companies and private jobs for numerous people in the neighborhood. If you had anything that had to be fixed he could do it or tell you how to do it. Better yet, how he could have done it better than you. He was a real jack of all trades.

He enjoyed his morning outing to McDonald’s and coffee from Royal Farms. He was a great collector of junk. He was hardheaded and stubborn, but had a caring heart and would help anyone.

His love for his community showed in his last days as many people visited, called and donated monetarily to show the love and respect that they had for him.

He was survived by his neighbors, Dalene Brandner who is also his sister, and nieces Farrah Stigall (Ricky) and Amanda Norwood. In later years, June Burton and Liz Boone plus a host of other brothers and sisters, and special cousins and friends.

Celebration of life service was held Thursday, Dec. 9, at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Milford. To offer words of comfort, visit benniesmithfuneralhome.com. Professional service entrusted to Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Millsboro.
