Rehoboth Art League opens three women’s exhibits
Works from the RAL’s permanent collection are on display in the Ventures Gallery. This exhibition was curated by Ann Baker Horsey with assistance from RAL Artistic Director Jay Pastore. Shown on the wall are three paintings created on the historic Rehoboth Art League campus. On top is a painting of “The Old Paynter House” by Ethel P.B. Leach. Bottom left is an oil painting by Bertha Riley titled “Sun Light and Shadows” of the carriage house. On the bottom right is a painting by Ethel P.B. Leach titled “Homestead Gardens with Mrs. Corkran.”

The family of Laura Bryn Winslow was on hand for the unveiling of the restored Italian Ceramic Tile mosaic image. Shown are (l-r) grandson Edward Sissa, daughter Catherine Winslow and granddaughter Bryn E. Smith. Restorer Lorelei Meanor was not present for the unveiling.

The Rehoboth Art League held an opening reception for three exhibits focusing on women Feb. 10.
In the Corkran Gallery, “Celebrating Women” is an exhibition by the the Coastal Camera Club.
A Members Juried Exhibition in the Tubbs Gallery is titled “Modern Women.” In the Ventures Gallery is “20th Century Women in Arts at the RAL.”
In the Chambers Building an unveiling was held of a restored mosaic from RAL’s permanent collection titled “The Birds of Paradise.” created by Laura Bryn Winslow.
March is Women’s History Month and all three exhibitions are open through March 12.
