July 15, 2015

Anne Crown-Cyr is one of 43 artists selected by juror Tim Bell, the second place winner of the 2014 Plein Air Easton Art Festival, for the juried Local Color art show. The exhibition, held concurrently with and under the auspices of the Easton Plein Air competition, is in its 11th year.

During the days of the exhibition, the nonprofit Working Artists Forum, which hosts Local Color, will provide free art demonstrations in The Rose Room at The Tidewater Inn by five of the winning plein air artists from the previous year’s Plein Air Easton competition.

The Local Color show will feature original paintings in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and pastel by Delmarva artists. This year’s show judge is John Brandon Sills, Plein Air Easton’s 2014 Grand Prize Winner, who will present the artists’ awards at noon, Friday, July 17.

Crown-Cyr’s paintings include both plein air and studio works in oil and watercolor based on Delaware scenes. She is a signature member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society and the Delaware Watercolor Society. Crown-Cyr is also a member of the Rehoboth Art League, the Art League of Virginia, the National Watercolor Society, the American Watercolor Society, and is a copyist at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC.
