George Plummer & Son volunteers every year to get the tree from its original location to the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand.

The central character in Rehoboth Beach’s annual holiday celebration was delivered Nov. 17. This year’s tree was anonymously donated.
A family of bunnies was relocated from beneath the tree before John L. Briggs Co. began cutting. George Plummer & Son kept with tradition and transported the tree to its new home on Rehoboth Avenue at the Bandstand. Once it was in place, Delmarva Power installed the electric lights, and City of Rehoboth Beach staff decorated the tree.
The Downtown Rehoboth Beach Holiday Tree Lighting is set to start at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 25. The sing-along will be led by Doug Yetter, who will direct the the Village Improvement Association Chorus.
