Rehoboth Beach couple to mark 50th anniversary Aug. 4

Wayne and Gloria Perry of Rehoboth Beach, formerly from Wolcott Drive in Boardman, Ohio, will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, Aug. 4.

Wayne, son of the late Felix and Catherine (Kitty) Perry, and Gloria Moore, daughter of the late Christopher Kent and Alice Moore, were married at First Covenant Church Aug. 4, 1973.

Wayne taught seventh- and eighth-grade math at W.S. Guy Middle School in Liberty Township, Ohio. Gloria was a first-grade teacher at Woodside Elementary School. Both taught for 35 years. After spending summers camping in Rehoboth Beach, they officially made the move to this area after retirement.

In their free time, they enjoy relaxing on the beach, spending time with their grandchildren, traveling and returning to Boardman to visit with friends.

Wayne and Gloria had one son, Marc. He and his wife Meghan live in Wilmington with their two children, Michael, age 10, and Christopher, 6.

The family asks all to join in wishing the Perrys a happy anniversary and many more to come.
